National Sales Conference Drives Business Growth and Innovation

The National Sales Conference returned to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, bringing together more than 650 of the UK’s most forward-thinking revenue leaders and sales professionals. Far from just another industry event – the Conference provided a real platform for driving innovation in business.

Expertly compared by The Impact Guru, Esther Stanhope, the Conference saw Rory Underwood MBE set the tone with an engaging keynote on aligning sales strategies with broader business goals. As a former England Rugby international and RAF Fast Jet Pilot, he knows a thing or two about high-performance strategy. Other standout speakers included Simon Horton, a former hostage negotiator revealing persuasion techniques, and Dave Birss, who demystified generative AI’s role in sales processes.

There was also a host of interactive discussion panels and case studies, enablement workshops, and round table discussions on important sales topics ranging from AI in sales efficiency to talent retention, reflecting the dynamic nature of modern sales strategies.

This year’s National Sales Conference was also the launchpad of a number of new initiatives for 2025. First, the Top 100 Sales Influencers Index, which will recognise professionals who are reshaping the sales landscape through social media. Alongside this, the National Sales Awards will celebrate the top performers across 10 individual and team categories.

The conference also launched the inaugural State of Sales Report: Challenges in Sales Leadership. Based on a comprehensive survey from Q2 and Q3 of 2024, this report promises to become a definitive annual benchmark for sales leadership insights.

Steve Lindsey, Event Director says: “I’m proud of the event’s success, but the true value lies in the professional development it offered to our community of revenue leaders and sales teams. By investing in their growth, we’re not just boosting performance, revenue & profit — we’re developing leaders and future sales talent, building stronger teams ready to thrive in an ever-changing market.”

Mark your calendars: the NSC Leadership Edition hits London on 3rd July, with the flagship Birmingham event returning on 13th November 2025 – complete with the National Sales Awards.
