MHiS – Prioritising Mental Health

In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, the balance between productivity and well-being has never been more important. As businesses adapt to post-pandemic realities, the concept of a shorter workweek is gaining traction. But what does it truly mean to work smarter, not harder?

In this insightful panel discussion, industry experts explore the benefits and challenges of transitioning to a four-day workweek, examining its impact on both employee well-being and business performance.

Learn how innovative organisations are implementing flexible working models and discover strategies for fostering a healthier, more productive workforce. Gain actionable insights to help your business thrive while keeping your team engaged and balanced.

Key Areas of Discussions:

  • Shift Towards Well-being: Organisations are increasingly recognising the importance of employee well-being. A significant number of companies are adopting well-being strategies, but there is a need for these to go beyond tick-box exercises and be genuinely embedded into company culture.
  • Four-day Workweek: The shift to a four-day workweek, as trialled by companies like Atom Bank, has shown positive results, such as improved employee productivity, well-being, and retention, while reducing stress and burnout. The reduction of hours doesn’t compromise business performance and enhances work-life balance.
  • Post-pandemic Work Culture: The pandemic has drastically changed work habits, with more employees expecting flexibility, such as remote work or reduced hours. This shift applies across generations, not just younger employees.
