The country has once again been swept up in the hysteria of ‘It’s Coming Home’ and with the Three Lions playing for a place in the Euros final tonight, I am starting to get the big game butterflies once again.
And yet, there has been a lot of criticism surrounding Gareth Southgate’s team, with many saying he’s been lucky. Maybe he is, after all, ‘luck is when preparation meets opportunity’. Luck is also predictable: ‘the harder you work, the luckier you get’.
Jim Steele also made an excellent point at our London event two weeks ago around the idea of supporting our teams and cheering them on even when times get tough.
